Fantasy Novel Studio

A studio for writing a full-length fantasy or sci-fi novel with AI, while I stay Creative Director. Proven on Book 1 of Layers of Reality.

Markdown · YAML · Cursor agents · File-system canon

What question am I exploring?

Can I use AI to help write a full-length, professionally polished fantasy or sci-fi novel, without handing the story over to one chat thread?

What have I learned?

Specialized agents for specific jobs beat using every agent for every task. Approval checkpoints keep AI from silently rewriting canon. Continuity slips between chapters need to be visible. You can pressure-test the process by writing a real book before it graduates to a public app.

What comes next?

Finish Creative Director final approval on Book 1, then explore a cleaner way to run the studio and a sanitized sample people can open without unpublished manuscript IP.

What this explores

Fantasy Novel Studio asks whether AI can help write a full-length, professionally polished fantasy or sci-fi novel without handing the story to one chat thread. Working drafts stay out of the Novel Bible until I approve them. I stay Creative Director. This isn’t a public app yet. The system still had to be real enough to write Book 1 of Layers of Reality.

Why it matters

A normal chat forgets chapter five and invents lore. This studio keeps process and approvals in the open so continuity breaks are visible, and nothing becomes canon until I say so.

Current status

Building and private. Book 1 went through outlining, deepen passes, continuity checks, beta, and cleanup. Final Creative Director approval is the remaining human gate.
